Richard is a member of ASCAP, the American Symphony Orchestra League, the Conductors Guild and the Dramatists Guild. During summers, he has been the musical director/pianist for the Madison (CT) Beach Club's annual "Follies" for twenty years. For ten years he served as Music Director/Conductor of the Bristol (CT) Symphony Orchestra, and more recently founded the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra. ![]() For his "day job," Richard has been on the faculty of the Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, Connecticut, for twenty-three years where he is director of choral music, director of the jazz band and has served as adjunct instructor in the English and computer departments. ![]() Richard Chiarappa (book, lyrics & music) has been involved writing musical theatre projects for twenty years. When she isn’t writing, she’s chasing after her two viking-like kids. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and has a Masters in English and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. Rachel has also worked with San Francisco Playhouse, 20% Theatre Company Chicago, This Is Water Theatre, Custom Made Theatre Company, Salt Lake Acting Company, the Wyoming Theater Festival, and Plan-B Theatre. Her ten-minute play “Really Adult” was a finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Heideman Award. Her play “Ripped” won the Detroit New Works Festival and was a finalist for for ATHE’s Excellence In Playwriting Award. Other published theater for young audiences works include “Clever Catherine” and “No Talking Allowed.” Rachel was awarded the June Anne Baker Prize from PlayGround, which honors the top female playwright in the Bay Area annually. Aliens” was commissioned and produced by the Egyptian Youtheatre in Park City, Utah. Rachel Bublitz is an award winning and internationally produced playwright. She says her two wonderful teenage boys, Kailyr and Konnor, are her greatest accomplishments. Prior to her work at the Vexler Theatre, she was a speech and theatre teacher for fifteen years. Tammy has also received numerous Globe Awards for excellence in direction and costuming design. Together they were just awarded the Jasmina Wellinghoff Award for Artistic Contribution for Theatre. She also co-produces the Sheldon Vexler Theatre in San Antonio with her husband Ken Frazier. FRAZIER is the artistic director for The Vexler Children’s Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. He has served as a reading editor for "Iron Horse Literary Review" and as a managing editor for "BordeRevolución." He has also performed freelance work as an actor, a composer, a librettist, a lyricist, a storyteller, and a transcriber. In addition to his numerous musicals and many children’s shows, he also writes for adults as demonstrated by his dramatic one-act adaptation, "Storm-Breeder," published by Eldridge. He has written scores for five musicals with Sidney Berger with plans for many more.īRIAN BILLINGS is a professor of English and Creative Writing specializing in libretti. Rob has served as musical director for many theatrical productions and is also on the faculty of the Theatre Under The Stars School of Musical Theatre. The Rob Landes Trio, a well-known and versatile group in the Houston area, released a CD. ![]() He is a composer of sacred music as well as music for the theatre. His playing has taken him throughout North America and Europe. ROB LANDES began studying piano at the age of three and made his debut on the "Art Linklater House Party" TV program at the age of four. Berger was the 1993 recipient of the University's "Esther Farfel Award.” Director of the University of Houston School of Theatre and producer of the Children's Theatre Festival, Dr. ![]() As an associate artist, he has also directed at the Alley Theatre. Berger has directed annually at the Houston Shakespeare Festival, as well as at Stages Repertory Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Consultant. SIDNEY BERGER is the founder of the Houston Shakespeare Festival, past president of the Shakespeare Theatre Association of America, member of the International Shakespeare Globe Center Board, and recipient of the Mayor's Arts Award for Outstanding contribution by a Performing Artist. ![]()
